What's a shower room : You take a room in your home tile the floor tile the walls and install a shiny new shower cubicle. The size of the cubicle is governed by the man who designed its base, making it his space not yours. The cubicle then has to be sited in a corner and occupies twice its size because of its entry point so dictating where it can be positioned in your bathroom. When you consider these points you realize that the control you have over your shower area is reduced to where the taps might go !!

What's a wet room :

• Take a room and decide where you might want your shower area to be. Install a floor former which has slopes built in to take the water to your drain, waterproof your floor with a tanking membrane then tile it with a good mosaic.


• Choose a shower unit and install it over your shower area, again you need to waterproof the walls and tile them .


• Get a sheet glass screen and position it so it will control the overspill from the shower area.
  
  You now have a wet room a waterproofed room where you can splash till your hearts content and relax.... its your space...........

That's all a wet room is, a waterproof room, a shower base former with a shower trap or shower gully, a shower unit on your wall, a glass screen and hot water. Big or small rooms you are only governed by the size of your floor either way creating a wet room is not difficult and can add another room to your home in a lot of cases.
